CAPE TOWN - BRACKENFELL: My client, a leading distributor of industrial cleaning equipment and cleaning solutions, is seeking to appoint a professional and customer-focused Receptionist / Customer Service Administrator to join their team.

POSITION INFO:
Purpose of the Role:  To provide professional front-line customer service and administrative support by acting as the first point of contact for customers, assisting the sales team, coordinating customer requirements, and ensuring accurate and efficient processing of sales-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing professional and welcoming assistance at reception, telephonically, and through written communication
• Support the Sales Team with day-to-day administrative requirements to ensure effective customer service delivery
• Assist customers with product enquiries, order queries, and general information requests
• Process customer orders, quotations, invoices, and related documentation accurately and timeously
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery of products and services
• Maintain accurate customer records, order information, and administrative documentation
• Follow up on customer enquiries and ensure feedback is provided within agreed timelines
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues where required
• Assist with maintaining a positive customer experience from initial enquiry through to after-sales support
• Manage general office administration, filing, and data capturing requirements
• Assist with maintaining an organised and professional reception and office environment

• Matric essential
• Previous experience in a customer service, reception, sales support, or administrative role
• Excellent communication skills with a professional and friendly telephone manner
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to assist and build positive relationships
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive, reliable, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Good computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general office systems
• Strong administrative skills with the ability to process information accurately
• Professional appearance with a warm, approachable, and sincere personality
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
