Reception & Switchboard Administrator

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Reception & Switchboard Administrator to be the welcoming face of their Somerset West office. POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently; operate the switchboard professionally
• Welcome clients, visitors, and suppliers in a professional and friendly manner
• Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and data management
• Maintain an organized, tidy, and presentable reception are
• Support office staff with deadlines, urgent tasks, and clerical needs
• Handle sensitive information and numerical data accurately and confidentially
• Manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload under pressure, and ensure timely follow-up
• Prepare and deliver documents for client meetings
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure completion
• Assist with administration related to estates, trusts, life policies, investments, and medical matters
  
  

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• 1–3+ years of reception, switchboard, or administrative experience
• Fluent in Afrikaans and proficient in English
• Honest, reliable, and professional with a strong work ethic
• Punctual, well-presented, and proactive; willing to take initiative
• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
• Strong administrative, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Able to work under pressure and support colleagues as needed
• High attention to detail, particularly with numbers and sensitive information
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and standard office software
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, estate, trust, and related administrative processes
• Residence in Helderberg preferred
