SUMMARY:

Our client, in the Manufacturing Industry, is looking for a Quality Controller to join their team based in Centurion. The purpose of this role is the combination of quality assurance, the process or set of processes used to measure and assure the quality of a product, and quality control, the process of ensuring products and services meet consumer expectations. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail with technical ability and a logical approach to their work.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma in Quality Control or Quality Administration
3 – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with Quality Control or Quality Administration
Proficiency in the full MS Office Suite
Valid Drivers License & Own Vehicle
Experience facing stakeholders
Ability to communicate new processes and procedures
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to research, digest, analyse and present material clearly and concisely

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain inspection protocols and test methods
Monitor the production process to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices
Document and report inspection findings, and work with production teams to correct defects
Ensure the laboratory testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
Develop and implement SOP related to product quality and safety
Ensure compliance with ISO, SAHPRA regulations and other applicable guidelines
Responsible for compiling regulatory documents for submission per local requirements
Manage internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of non-conformance
Train staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
Handle customer complaints/ recalls of products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, laboratory and supply chain, to ensure quality is built onto the design and production process
Maintain and manage documentation related to quality assurance, including control plans, SOPs and audit reports
Analyse quality data and generate reports for management review
Lead in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency
Ensure all tests are completed and that the results and specifications on the product meet the recommended requirements before going onto the next production procedure or batch approval.
