Quality Control Supervisor

SUMMARY:
A packaging company seeks to employ a Quality Control Supervisor. Plastic is the main focus and should be considered when applying.

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Matric
• Quality qualification and food packaging experience

 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in quality Control / Assurance
• 1 year in a supervisory role
• Good knowledge of manufacturing practices, Food safety, Health & Safety

 Duties

• Supervise quality controller’s / Line inspectors who are responsible for product testing – To meet product standards
• Mentoring, Training, setting of expectations and performing evaluations
• Product Verification
• Audit quality control of raw materials, packaging components, labels and finished products to ensure compliance
• Follow up on implemented programs (GMPs, Good hygiene practices, HACCP, Pest control etc.) to ensure compliance by all employees and other personnel in the manufacturing facility
• Oversee the “On Hold “product program (Status, Release and Rejected Products)
• Assist in investigating quality related issues including customer complaints
• Assist in the implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality systems etc. to meet product quality standards
• Perform all other duties as directed by the SHEQ department management
