Production Supervisor (Automotive)

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting a Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate the production team to achieve goals while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance. Collaborate across departments to maintain smooth production operations.

POSITION INFO:

Production Supervisor (Automotive)

Silverton, Pretoria

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise, train, and motivate production staff.

• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback.

• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.

Production Oversight

• Manage daily production activities and schedules.

• Monitor metrics (output, quality, efficiency) and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure equipment is maintained and production processes meet standards.

Quality & Safety

• Maintain product quality and address issues promptly.

• Collaborate with QA for continuous improvement.

• Enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulations.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements (Lean, Six Sigma).

• Monitor effectiveness of changes.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare production reports and document deviations.

• Liaise with FMCSA team and other departments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric/Grade 12; Production Management qualification preferred.

• Valid drivers license.

• 3 years or more in supervisory experience; 5 years or more in manufacturing 

• Strong English, Microsoft Office proficiency.

• Knowledge of vehicle systems and modifications desirable.
