SUMMARY:
Production Supervisor

POSITION INFO:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure planned daily and shift production targets are consistently met, adhering to yields and specifications.
Control requisition and utilisation of raw materials to prevent stock losses.
Maintain waste levels within target limits to reduce unnecessary costs.
Comply with and accurately record all specifications and procedures for each shift.
Guarantee that all manufactured products meet established quality standards.
Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in full working order.
Adhere to hygiene and safety standards on a daily and per-shift basis.
Supervise staff to ensure tasks are performed efficiently and productively.
Foster effective communication between management and team members.
Manage staff conduct to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Apply disciplinary measures when necessary, in line with company procedures.

Knowledge and Experience

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Proficient in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
Previous supervisory experience within a baking environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with management at all levels.
Reliable, trustworthy, and committed.
Willingness to work night shifts as required.
