Production Manager

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Production Shift Manager
Location: Bethlehem / Vrede, Free State

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise production teams and ensure optimal plant and equipment performance.
• Coordinate workflows to achieve production volume, quality, safety, and cost targets.
• Monitor plant processes, manpower, and resources to maximise efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Lead, coach, and manage staff performance in line with operational standards and procedures.
• Maintain production plans, shift handovers, and accurate production reporting.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Identify quality issues and report to line management or QA.
• Take full responsibility for plant operations during night shifts and weekends, when required.

• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience within an animal feed or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on technical and troubleshooting experience will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 14000 standards.
• Experience leading production teams.
• English literacy (written and verbal).
• Willingness to work shifts.
