SUMMARY:
Well known Chemical Manufacturer has a vacancy for a Product Development Manager who will execute and manage product development and develop products across the industrial category (exception of food and pharma) for local and international clients, so too provide technical support to production and planning, procurement, SHEQ and sales staff. The co offers benefits and a car allowance.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
Translation of strategic growth plan to product, product ranges and product class portfolios.
Managing the research processes of mapping technology and competitor technology analysis.
Managing ideas and selection of project routes that eliminate the risk of IP infringement.
Managing product development processes for existing and new product and product portfolios.
Monitoring product life cycles and managing product upgrades, withdrawals and launches.
Engaging with product users and field trials.
Managing transfer of product manufacture from laboratory pilot scale to main plant processes.

Requirements:
Matric.
Tertiary education in Chemistry (BSc / BTech).
Experience in Research and Development activities.
Track record in developing products and sound research methodology of specifically mining, road science and lubricants and many more.
Exposure to surface chemistry synthesis and applications.
Experience in managing multiple projects.
Willing to travel
Flexibility in terms of trials which which could be overnight
