Process Engineer

SUMMARY:
Process Engineer leader required to lead the design, planning and implementation of new manufacturing processes, services and systems

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Industrial or mechanical engineering or an applicable trade qualification

Requirements

• Minimum three years’ experience within a production environment
• Has a successful track record of managing projects and introducing manufacturing cell
• Computer literate - including essential use of Microsoft office and project systems, Auto-Cad, Solid Edge, Syspro and JDE System Knowledge (JD Edwards) will be advantageous (ERP)
• An organised problem solver with the drive and tenacity to ensure projects are completed to time and budget
• Flexible, motivated, innovative and a good communicator - experienced in the management of personnel within a multidisciplinary team environment

Duties

• Previous experience of programming automation and controls systems involving PLC''s and HMI''s. Must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming Should be able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up.
• Implement the introduction of new manufacturing processes, products and services and generate the AFE justification to secure the finance for such projects.
• Provide training to the Production Teams as necessary to operate the machinery/HMI''s.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest equipment and software.
• Support R&D activities with production trials and prototype builds.
• Identify waste in existing processes.
• Provide for the health, safety and training needs.
• Act as a key team member on any customer complaints.
