SUMMARY:
JUNIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
Wolseley

Our client, an industry leader since 1968, specializes in eco-friendly solutions in the wine industry. They have a vacancy for a permanent Junior Process Engineer to be based in Wolseley.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

Design and optimise chemical processes for the conversion of winery waste into premium natural products.
Conduct experiments and trials to improve process efficiency, yield, and product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, production, and quality assurance, to achieve project objectives.
Troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions to ensure smooth operations.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols for chemical processes.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new process implementations.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to chemical engineering and waste management.
Assist in scaling up processes from lab-scale to production-scale.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical / Process Engineering.

Experience:

Work experience in chemical process design, optimisation, and scale-up will be beneficial.
Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and unit operations.
Appropriate experience with PLC and SCADA programming will be an advantage.

Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry will be advantageous.
Commitment to environmental sustainability and waste reduction initiatives
