JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity awaits a successful candidate who wants a stable environment as a Portfolio Administrator in the Financial Services industry.  If stability and long term is what you are looking for then this is the ideal opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • The Portfolio Administrator provides administrative support to the team in ensuring accurate and timely processing of all related requests
  • Daily updating of various spreadsheets, which includes the following:
    • Monitoring of negative balances
    • Monitoring of scrip/cash movement
    • Closure of accounts
    • Send updated spreadsheets to - saved in the worksheet file
  • Daily monitoring of standing instruction payments which includes payments to be made to clients
  • Opening of all local and offshore accounts
  • Handle all requests for client tax packs, both domestic & offshore
  • Assist trading on both local and offshore portfolios
  • Liquidating a portfolio and doing bulk trades when models are amended
  • Fundamental and technical understanding of the markets
  • Provide a performance attribution report on our portfolios to the investment committee team from previous quarter
  • Note taking for the investment committee

Requirements:

  • BComm degree (honours preferred)
  • Studying towards CFA
  • 0-3 years' experience in investment administration
  • Experience in dealing with share portfolios and multiple investment products and providers
  • Experience in local and offshore investments
