Personal Assistant / Operations Support

An opportunity to provide proactive operational and administrative support for an organisation working with European startups.

Location: Cape Town (Gardens) 

Salary: £1200 - £1500 per month (R27000 - R34 000 p/m)

Hours: 9 am - 6 pm UK times

The Role: Personal Assistant / Operations Support

The purpose of this role is to provide reliable, organised, and proactive support to keep day-to-day activities running smoothly. The position contributes to the business by supporting both the business development and operations sides, ensuring the team stays organised and efficient. The main focus areas include sales and administration support, general operations, event and meeting coordination, and research and lead support.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilise 3–5+ years of experience in a PA, admin, or support role to maintain day-to-day operations and administrative efficiency.

• Keep the contact and sales system (HubSpot) up to date and help reach out to new contacts on LinkedIn.

• Follow up with clients to ensure information is received and remind the team of next steps and follow-ups.

• Maintain simple spreadsheets tracking revenue and costs while organising internal information.

• Support basic reporting and tracking across the team.

• Schedule calls, coordinate diaries, and assist with logistics for conferences or partner meetings.

• Check in on past leads, monitor LinkedIn for updates, and organise contact lists for investors and partners.

• Assist with simple outreach planning.

About You

• 3–5+ years of experience in a PA, admin, or support role.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Comfortable using spreadsheets, email, and online tools.

• Clear communicator who is comfortable following up with people.

• Proactive mindset.

• Curious and willing to learn about startups and new technologies.

• Interest in learning tools like HubSpot and LinkedIn for business use.

• Financial background or an interest in finance.
