About the role

Our client is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys the operational side of human resources. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting employee relations, HR administration, compliance, process improvement, and people operations across the business.

The focus is on delivering excellent operational HR support, maintaining compliance, assisting with employee relations processes, and helping to build scalable people practices within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support employee relations processes, including disciplinary matters, grievances, and investigations.
• Draft warnings, notices, disciplinary documentation, and employee correspondence.
• Compile disciplinary and CCMA documentation packs.
• Maintain employee records, HR files, and compliance registers.
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle administration.
• Assist with policy implementation and HR process improvements.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation.
• Support Employment Equity, Health and Safety, and labour law compliance activities.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce data, and management information.
• Assist with payroll-related administration and employee benefits coordination.
• Support managers and employees with day-to-day HR queries.
• Utilise digital tools and Microsoft 365 applications to improve efficiency and reporting.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience within Human Resources or People Operations.
• Experience supporting disciplinary processes and employee relations matters.
• Exposure to compiling disciplinary, hearing, and CCMA documentation.
• Good understanding of BCEA, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity, and Health and Safety requirements.
• Strong administrative, organisational, and documentation skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Comfortable working with HR systems and digital tools.
• Experience within financial services, fintech, banking, or other regulated environments will be advantageous.
