POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
An exciting opportunity exists for a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Clerk with strong payroll administration experience to join a dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, compliance, and delivering excellent administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer monthly payroll processes and payroll-related payments.
Generate payslips and distribute them to employees.
Prepare and submit UIF, PAYE and SDL returns.
Process UIF claims, maternity claims, workmen's compensation claims and employee leave.
Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and payroll journals.
Compile payroll reports, CTC reports and management reports.
Process payroll creditor payments and pension fund submissions.
Receipt staff rentals and tuition fee payments in Sage.
Assist with tax year-end procedures and annual salary increase administration.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations.
Act as backup to the Bookkeeper and assist the finance team with additional duties as required.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric (Grade 12)
Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting or Payroll.
3 - 5 years' experience in a payroll administration or finance administration role.
Peopleware is non-negotiable
Solid understanding of South African payroll legislation, including UIF, PAYE and SDL.
Experience with payroll reconciliations, journals and statutory submissions.
