Payroll Administrator - George

SUMMARY:
Our client, an established accounting firm based in George, is seeking to appoint a Payroll Administrator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payrolls for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and maintaining high levels of confidentiality and professionalism.

POSITION INFO:
Description:

• Process monthly payrolls accurately and on time
• Manage payroll data including new employees, terminations, and changes to employee details
• Calculate wages, salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and statutory contributions
• Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and tax regulations (e.g., PAYE, UIF, SDL)
• Prepare and distribute payslips and payroll reports
• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with audits where required
• Handle payroll queries from clients and employees
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
• Assist with EMP201, EMP501 submissions and related statutory returns
• Liaise with clients regarding payroll inputs and deadlines

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Afrikaans and English speaking
• Relevant tertiary qualification (beneficial)
• Proven experience in payroll administration
• Experience working in an accounting or multi-client payroll environment (advantageous)
• Strong numerical and attention-to-detail skills
• Computer literate (MS Office; payroll software experience)
