About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team in Honeydew (Gauteng). The successful candidate will be responsible for the full payroll function and must have hands-on working experience with Payspace. This role requires high levels of accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work comfortably within strict deadlines. (Valid License & Own Vehicle)

POSITION INFO:
What you’ll be doing

Manage and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
Capture and maintain employee payroll information on Payspace.
Process new appointments, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
Administer leave, overtime, deductions, garnishees, and employee benefits.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PAYE, UIF, SDL, etc.).
Reconcile payroll reports and ensure accuracy before final submission.
Submit statutory returns and ensure payments are made within deadlines.
Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.
Assist with payroll-related queries from employees and management.
Prepare payroll reports for finance and management as required.
Support audits by providing payroll documentation and reports.

What you’ll need

Grade 12 (Matric) – essential.
Relevant Payroll or HR qualification (advantageous).
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in a payroll administration role.
Proven working experience on Payspace (non-negotiable).
Sound knowledge of South African payroll legislation and statutory compliance.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
