Overview
A dynamic local agri-trading business is seeking a detail-oriented Trade Administrator to support its trading and execution functions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that contracts, logistics coordination, and financial processes are accurately managed and executed within tight deadlines.
You will work closely with Traders, Logistics/Execution, and Finance teams to ensure seamless transaction flow from contract creation through to delivery and payment.
Duties:
- Capture and send contracts
- Request daily information from clients and producers and capture it in the system
- Calculate transport payments according to the payment schedule
- Inform traders of unpriced contracts so they can contact producers in time to set prices
- Forward queries to Logistics/Trade Execution regarding weight/contract discrepancies and transport rates
- Request PODs (Proof of Delivery) for loads with discrepancies
- Provide information to Finance to ensure invoices and payments are processed on time
- Ensure all queries are submitted promptly to avoid delays in processes
- Maintain records of deliveries, contracts, and supporting documents
- Handle FICA documentation for clients and producers and upload it to the system
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in a similar Trade Administration / Logistics / Finance support role
- Exposure to commodity trading, agriculture, or logistics environments is highly advantageous
- Strong numerical ability with attention to detail
- Experience working with contracts, reconciliations, and data capturing
- Proficiency in Excel and internal systems
