SUMMARY:
This dynamic, growing firm of Accountants based in Umhlanga, needs a sussed and responsible payroll fundi to prepare and manage the payroll requirements for in house staff as well as do clients (approximately 500 head count in total) mainly salaried staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:

Payroll Diploma or similar, an advantage.
2 to 3 years Payroll experience, (pref multiple clients).
Proficient in Pastel Payroll (or similar).
Knowledge of PaySpace an advantage.
Bookkeeping experience.
Attention to detail.
Deadline orientated.
Strong numerical skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
In-depth understanding of statutory requirements.
Well versed in HR function relating to payroll.
Problem solving ability.
Discretion.
Ability to interact with clients, staff and Managers with courtesy, patience and understanding.

Responsibilities:

Maintain payroll for approximately 30 companies monthly, inclusive of 2 weekly payroll companies.
Submission of monthly EMP201
Submission of bi-annual EMP501
Deal with Department of Labour
Deal with Workman's Compensation/Annual letter of earnings declaration
Handle HR related queries.
