Location: Sandton, Gauteng Salary: R40,000 CTC per month (includes approximately 15% company benefits)

Our client, a well-established company in the Wholesale & Retail sector, is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team based in Sandton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring full compliance with South African payroll legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA). This role requires exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Please note: Sage 300 Payroll experience is a non-negotiable requirement.

• Minimum of 3–5 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator.

• Hands-on Sage 300 Payroll experience (non-negotiable).

• Previous experience within the Wholesale and Retail industry.

• Sound knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) and South African payroll legislation.

• Understanding of PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201 and annual payroll reconciliation processes.

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.

• Matric (Grade 12).

• Relevant Payroll, HR or Finance qualification will be advantageous.

• Own reliable transport.

• Process monthly payroll accurately and within strict deadlines.

• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy.

• Process new appointments, terminations, salary increases, promotions and payroll changes.

• Calculate overtime, leave, bonuses, commissions and statutory deductions.

• Ensure compliance with BCEA and all relevant labour legislation.

• Process PAYE, UIF, SDL and other statutory deductions.

• Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.

• Resolve payroll-related queries professionally and efficiently.

• Liaise with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll matters.

• Ensure confidentiality of employee information at all times.

• Assist with payroll audits and year-end payroll processes.

• Maintain accurate payroll documentation and filing systems.
