POSITION INFO:
A well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their Shared Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with company policies and South African payroll legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and administer high-volume payroll accurately and within strict deadlines.
Review payroll and leave inputs to ensure data integrity before payroll finalisation.
Prepare payroll variance reports and perform payroll control reconciliations.
Validate resignations, dismissals, and final salary calculations.
Review and authorise interim payroll payments.
Reconcile payroll data with third-party service providers and resolve reconciling items.
Prepare month-end payroll reconciliations and management reports.
Generate and distribute weekly and monthly payslips.
Support payroll process improvements, system enhancements, and legislative updates.
Test payroll system changes and ensure ongoing compliance with statutory requirements.
Resolve payroll-related queries within agreed service level agreements.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and provide payroll support across the business.
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and internal controls.
Participate in payroll projects and assist with ad hoc payroll-related duties.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric with Mathematics and Accounting (Mathematical Literacy will not be considered).
Payroll or Finance qualification will be advantageous.
Minimum 8 years' payroll administration experience.
Proven experience processing payrolls for 1,500+ employees.
Strong working knowledge of JDE and Educos Payroll System.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
