JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Temp for a 6 month contract. Your function will be to prepare accurate and efficient payments for resignation related benefits (local and foreign), as well as prepare accurate SARS payments and complete general payroll fund administration.

Duties and responsibilities:

Prepare refund benefit payments for international members

  • Utilise Spot Covers which are correct and submit on time, complying with stipulated procedure.
  • Process timeous and accurate payments to foreign active members
  • Load and verify new foreign active members in accordance with standard procedure

Prepare refund benefit payments for local members

  • Monitor movement of workflows
  • Verify member records and print individual AVS reports from Standard Bank
  • Add Notes on member`s records
  • Submit workflows
  • Prepare IT88 payments on lumpsums
  • Compile and Reconcile ACB batch reports
  • Request funds for benefit payments from Investment Administration
  • Confirm processed workflows
  • Upload all proof of payments to member records daily
  • Upload all AVS reports onto member records daily

Administer the Refund Bank Account

  • Maintain the Refund Bank Account balance and ensure that it does not go into overdraft

Administer general fund administration activities

  • Utilise correct deal numbers for foreign suppliers’ invoices.
  • Prepare and process the IT88 on lumpsum payments daily with the batch payment.
  • Run the bank account verification process for all historical claims and workflows
  • Maintain a proper filling system for Metro file for storage and Audit purposes.
  • Update notes, accurately, on ASP online for all workflows processed manual payments.
  • Prepare, reconcile and pay daily lump sum payments, checking the accuracy of figures.
  • Recall funds with Standard Bank, as instructed.
  • Perform and assist with other Retirement-related processes including payments as and when required
  • Attend and assist with other Retirement-related queries as and when required
  • Adhoc duties including all stationery orders

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant Diploma in Bookkeeping and Payroll administration
  • 2 years job-related experience, preferably within a Pension Fund Industry.
  • Basic knowledge of foreign exchange
  • Working knowledge of Business online / (Standard Bank), IPP-Omni Admin, ASP Online, Scanco System
