Your typical day in a radiology environment includes:
- Working closely with the rest of the team to provide superior diagnostic and interventional services.
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure accurate, timely patient diagnoses.
- Managing patient care with compassion and professionalism, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit with us.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1 – 2 years administrative experience in a hospital / radiology environment
- Computer literate
- Basic knowledge of Ultrasound, CT & MRI scans, medical terminology in a Radiology environment, and patient care
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm and patient disposition
- Physically fit, strong and energetic as this position requires a lot of walking to and from wards and in the department, assisting to push hospital beds and move patients on and off beds
Main Responsibilities:
- Continuously check the Sonography/CT/MRI list to prepare and plan an efficient workflow
- Liaise with Sonographers/Radiographers regarding cases, bloods, patient prep, scan plans etc. where needed
- Liaise with referring Doctors regarding patients
- Liaise with external vendors regarding appointments for pacemakers
- Liaise with external radiology Departments to organise appointments for both ward and outpatients
- Work with the CT/MRI/Sonography Porters to ensure patients are fetched and returned timeously according to the planned workflow
- Coordinate the prep of ward patients with oral contrast and signing of T&C’s
- Prep patients for scans, getting them undressed, asking relevant questions e.g. allergies, pacemakers etc.
- Check that all relevant documents are completed and signed e.g. consent forms, T&C’s, allergies, bloodwork etc. before each scan
- Checking on all patients in passage, which department do they belong to, have they been helped, are they done and can go back to wards

Shift rotation:
Mon – Fri: 7h30 - 16h30 and 9h00 – 18h00, Saturday morning 9h00 - 13h00 (on rotation)
