SUMMARY:
Parts Store Controller / Inventory Controller
Location: Beaconvale Industries, Parow, Cape Town
Salary: R15,000 per month
Benefits: Medical Aid & Pension Fund

A well-established forklift and material handling equipment company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Parts Store controller to join its parts warehouse team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receiving, issuing, ordering, and control of forklift and machinery parts while ensuring accurate stock records and efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Issue parts to workshop technicians and service teams
Receive, inspect, and accurately capture incoming stock
Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
Process parts orders and monitor stock availability
Conduct monthly stock counts and cycle counts
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
Ensure the warehouse remains organised, clean, and efficient
Assist with the implementation and transition to a new Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to inventory movements

Minimum Requirements

3+ years' experience in a parts warehouse environment
Experience with forklift, automotive, truck, agricultural, earthmoving, or machinery parts will be highly advantageous
Proven experience with issuing, receiving, ordering, and stock control processes
Strong working knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP systems, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Well-organised with the ability to work independently
Reliable, honest, and able to work under pressure

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organised, and takes pride in maintaining accurate stock records. They have a solid understanding of parts warehousing and inventory control and can contribute to improving warehouse efficiency while supporting technicians with the correct parts when required.
