Paralegal / Legal Secretary | Johannesburg North

Are you an experienced Paralegal / Legal Secretary who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment? We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional to join a well-established law firm in Johannesburg North.

POSITION INFO:

What you'll be doing:

Manage legal matters from inception through to completion.
Draft, format and proofread legal correspondence and documentation.
Prepare pleadings, court documents, contracts and other legal documentation.
Administer deceased estates.
Handle litigation matters, including collections.
Coordinate court dates and manage litigation processes.
Work on Caselines / Court Online matters.
Liaise professionally with clients, counsel, the courts and the Master of the High Court.
Open, maintain and archive client files.
Assist with fee posting and management (AJS experience advantageous).
Provide general administrative and office support.

What we're looking for:

Degree in Law | Business Administration.
SA Citizen.
Must have their own vehicle and valid drivers licence.
Minimum 4yrs experience Paralegal or Legal Secretary.
Solid experience in estate administration and litigation, including collections.
Working knowledge of Caselines / Court Online and court practice directives.
Excellent Microsoft Word and document formatting skills.
Strong dicta-typing and document production abilities.
Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with outstanding organisational skills.
Able to prioritise, meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.
A hardworking, conscientious individual with initiative and a professional approach.
Willingness to learn new systems (AJS experience advantageous).
