SUMMARY:
Lexdan Select is assisting a Manucfacturing Company with their search for a PET Process Technician. Based in Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Ensure production machines, moulds, and related equipment are correctly set, maintained, and operating efficiently.
Perform fault analysis and troubleshooting on machine malfunctions, mould issues, and product quality defects.
Develop and follow maintenance plans, conduct routine maintenance, and document all maintenance activities.
Set up machines for production runs, optimize machine settings, and document all settings and adjustments.
Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance teams, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve production performance.
Maintain safety, quality, GMP, and housekeeping standards while reporting defects, incidents, and operational issues.

Key Requirements

Grade 12 with a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in machine setting within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of injection blow moulding and stretch blow moulding processes, including PET processing.i
Strong fault-finding, equipment testing, and technical drawing interpretation skills.
Good communication, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work under pressure.
Understanding of health & safety procedures, quality standards, and GMP practice
