SUMMARY:
We are seeking a young, vibrant, highly professional and experienced Operations team leader who can confidently engage with clients, lead operational activities, and liaise directly with branch management. This role requires a strong leadership presence and the ability to represent the company in a professional manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Leadership & Professional Requirements:

1. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to take ownership of operations and guide team activities.

2. Well-spoken, articulate, and confident when communicating with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

3. A professional, presentable, and executive-minded individual capable of meeting with clients and representing the company at a high standard.

4. Demonstrated managerial and decision-making skills in a fast-paced logistics environment.

5. Ability to liaise directly with the Branch Manager on operational planning, client matters, reporting, and service delivery performance.

6. Must be able to build and maintain strong customer relationships and contribute to business growth opportunities.

Operational Responsibilities:

1. Communicate with existing clients daily to secure new shipments and delivery opportunities.

2. Prepare and submit daily sales and operational reports to management.

3. Plan daily shipments and deliveries in accordance with company policies and operational requirements.

4. Monitor all deliveries and provide clients with continuous updates regarding progress, delays, and resolutions.

5. Ensure all shipment files and delivery documentation are accurately completed and closed off.

6. Coordinate effectively with operations, transport teams, and customers to ensure service excellence.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Grade 12 ( required)

2. 2 - 5 years relevant working experience in a Operations Team Leader role.

3. Proven experience in containerised logistics, imports, and exports.

4. Working knowledge of Navis and port operations is essential.

5. Strong understanding of container movement, planning, and transport coordination.

6. Ability to work long hours, under pressure, and within strict operational deadlines.

7. Excellent teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

8. Own reliable vehicle is required.

9. Previous experience in a similar role within the logistics or transport industry is critical and non-negotiable.
