Operations Supervisor

SUMMARY:
Our client in the FMCG industry has an opportunity available for an Operations Supervisor in the Woodmead area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Diploma in Business Management or equivalent
• Certificate in imports and exports related subject (i.e International Commercial Terms (IncoTerms))
• 5 years’ experience in bulk products contracts execution and international trade, 2 of which in a supervisory role
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Working knowledge of Incoterms
• Understanding of imports and exports, customs clearance, documentation
• Logistics and supply chain practices
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
• Numerical and analytical skills
• Database maintenance, filing and record keeping
• Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Formulate operations processes and standard operating procedures for approval
• Monitor correspondence between traders, buyers and sellers to identify contracts that need to be executed and contract delivery periods
• Track incoming vessels to determine tonnages and products shipped and estimated time of arrival
• Oversee new customer credit applications and provide necessary assistance if required
• Check creditor invoices against service levels agreements/quotations and/or contract costing schedule to ensure alignments
• Proactively monitor team workload and co-ordinate relief with other contract administrators where necessary
