SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced New Business Development Executive to take ownership of new client acquisition within the road freight and courier sector.

This role is focused on winning new business, developing commercial relationships and driving revenue growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential clients, generating opportunities and taking the sales process from initial contact through to closing.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Identify and target new business opportunities within the road freight and courier market
Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals and market research
Develop relationships with prospective corporate and commercial clients
Understand client freight, transport and delivery requirements
Present suitable logistics and courier solutions
Prepare quotations and negotiate commercial terms
Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to closing
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Meet and exceed monthly and annual new business targets
Onboard new clients and develop long-term relationships
Identify opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts

Requirements:

3+ years' experience in new business sales
Proven experience selling road freight, courier, transport or logistics services
Demonstrated track record of winning new clients
Strong cold-calling, prospecting and lead-generation skills
Experience dealing with B2B / corporate clients
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Target-driven, commercially minded and self-motivated
Able to manage the full sales cycle independently
Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
Based in Johannesburg or surrounding areas

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a genuine sales hunter who enjoys identifying opportunities, opening doors and converting prospects into new business.
Experience selling road freight, courier services, express deliveries, distribution or B2B logistics solutions is essential.
