Municipal Administrator

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Municipal Administrator to support our utilities and finance team. This role will focus on council billing, reporting, reconciliations, and risk management across multiple utilities, including Water, Electricity, Sewer, Effluent, Refuse, Alternative Energy, Back-up Electricity, and Gas.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all municipal account processes.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Source accounts from supply authorities and manage council and tenant queries.
• Open new utility accounts and log outages or service issues.
• Prepare, reconcile, and process accounts for timely payments.
• Assist with data capturing, record keeping, and property packs for new acquisitions.
• Conduct supplier reconciliations and support financial analysis/reporting.
• Verify and check tariffs, meter readings, and utility costs for accuracy.

Requirements

• Property industry and municipal accounts experience (essential).
• Proven experience in creditors/account reconciliations and payments.
• Strong Excel skills (intermediate level).
• Valid driver’s licence.
