SUMMARY:
Motor Vehicle Technician – Johannesburg Central - Gauteng

POSITION INFO:
An innovative Motor Dealership in Gauteng is looking for a Motor Vehicle Technician to join their Service Department.

Requirements:

MUST be a qualified Vehicle Technician
Minimum of 2 to 5 years post apprentice experience in the Automotive Industry
Valid drivers license
Good Communication
Strong information technology background
Must have own transport & own quality tools
Mechanical and Electrical skills

Responsibilities:

Servicing and repairing of all vehicles booked into the dealership
Diagnose and report findings accurately
Maintain and update diagnostic tools
Request relevant and correct parts from the parts sales executive
Notify management of any service-related issues
Contacting clients and scheduling bookings of vehicles
Checking-in of customers and follow-ups with clients
Update job cards, ensuring that it contains accurate information and detailed information on the service/repairs
Plan and order parts required in advance as per vehicle identification
Ability to plan production
Maintaining good communication at head office and with customers
After Service follow-ups
Understanding of costing of job cards
