SUMMARY:
A well-established manufacturing operation based in Johannesburg East is seeking a qualified and experienced Millwright to join their maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal equipment reliability, performing preventative maintenance, and minimizing downtime across production lines.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on PLC-controlled systems
Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with maintenance schedules
Install, commission, and modify machinery and equipment as required
Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance

Minimum Requirements:

Trade Tested Millwright (Red Seal)
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience with PLCs (Siemens/Allen Bradley advantageous)
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and VSDs
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and standby when required
