SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established and proudly South African manufacturer of specialised workwear and protective clothing, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser Assistant to join their dynamic team. The company specialises in high-quality protective wear and custom garment solutions for a variety of industries, including safety, industrial, medical, mining, and security sectors

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the merchandising team with order processing and customer requirements
Liaise with production, procurement, and sales departments to ensure smooth workflow
Track orders, deliveries, and production timelines
Prepare quotations, purchase orders, and merchandising documentation
Coordinate fabric, trims, branding, and garment specifications
Follow up on customer queries, amendments, and approvals
Maintain accurate records of stock, samples, and product information
Assist with planning and monitoring production schedules
Support with costing, range development, and product administration
Ensure all orders are aligned with quality and delivery standards

Minimum Requirements:

Previous experience in a merchandising, clothing, textile, or manufacturing support role advantageous
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
Good communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and suppliers professionally
Computer literate with good Excel and administrative skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Knowledge of garments, fabrics, trims, or production processes advantageous
A proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Remuneration

R10 000 - R12 000 CTC
