SUMMARY:

ROLE PURPOSE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Support

• Support channel marketing initiatives aimed at increasing brand awareness, engagement and lead generation.
• Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the Marketing Department.
• Assist with coordinating marketing activities to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Support the team with research, campaign administration and other marketing-related activities as required.

Client Engagement & Communications

• Assist with client engagement and communication projects across multiple platforms.
• Support the development and implementation of client communication campaigns.
• Assist with marketing activations and events aimed at engaging clients and target audiences.
• Interact professionally with clients, stakeholders and members of the public during marketing activities and events.

Digital & Social Media Marketing

• Assist with the creation and scheduling of social media content across relevant platforms.
• Support the management of online community interactions and engagement.
• Monitor social media activity and assist with identifying opportunities to improve engagement.
• Assist with digital marketing initiatives and campaigns.
• Contribute ideas for new and innovative digital marketing activities, including the use of AI tools.

Public Relations & Advertising

• Assist with public relations activities and initiatives.
• Support advertising campaigns and related marketing activities.
• Assist with coordinating marketing materials and communications with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support for PR and advertising projects.

Marketing Administration & Coordination

• Assist with the coordination of day-to-day marketing activities and projects.
• Maintain accurate marketing information, documentation and records.
• Assist with coordinating deadlines, deliverables and project requirements.
• Support the Marketing Department with ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.

POSITION INFO:

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience

• BCom Marketing degree or similar relevant qualification from a reputable institution.
• Recent graduate or up to 1 year's experience in a marketing assistant or similar role.
• Marketing internship or previous exposure to marketing activities will be advantageous but is not essential.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Familiarity with social media platforms.
• Technology savvy with an ability to learn and work with new digital platforms and tools.
• An interest in and appetite for artificial intelligence and its application within marketing will be advantageous.
• Basic analytical skills and an interest in data-driven marketing and performance measurement.
