POSITION INFO:

Kromco (Pty) Ltd, a key player in the pome fruit industry (specialising in apples and pears), is located near Grabouw in the Western Cape. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Marketing Assistant to the Head of Marketing. The ideal candidate will offer comprehensive support, coordination, administration, and planning assistance to the Head of Marketing and Planning. STUDIES COMPLETED: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO): MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Planning & Coordination: Assist with marketing planning. Coordinate and execute packing specifications and instructions, shipping requirements, and documentation for the United Kingdom and European programmes and client orders. Ensure client specifications and programme requirements are met through effective communication and customer service. Manage stock, orders, logistics, and load planning in coordination with internal departments. Administrative & Reporting Functions: Manage client orders and packing instructions Coordinate container bookings with logistics teams Plan and allocate stock and customer orders Compile client-specific reports Liaise with logistics departments and freight forwarders Update container and logistics forecasts Manage marketing, logistics, and financial reporting Utilize internal IT systems for order and documentation management Provide ad hoc reporting, support, and analysis as needed MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Tertiary qualification in administration 5+ years in exporting fresh apples and pears Client account management experience with strong relationship-building skills Personal assistance and administrative support experience Experience in a marketing team Strong team player, able to work independently Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Good analytical and data analysis abilities Excellent planning and organisational skills Focus on customer service and accurate reporting Close attention to detail and punctuality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of stock management and financial systems Bilingual in English and Afrikaans for client representation Willing to work outside normal hours Valid driver''s license and reliable transport Ability to work full-time at Kromco’s main office near Grabouw.
