SUMMARY:
Our international client in the automotive sector has a great opportunity for a Maintenance Technician (Mechatronics) to join their Engineering department.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

High focus on all production lines
Perform assigned maintenance inspections and procedures on machinery
Repair breakdowns to machinery PLC programs as assigned
Install/relocate/commission machinery and/or production lines as directed in the shortest time possible
Evaluate machinery for Continuous Improvements
Maintain PLC software for various applications including but not exclusive to:

- Welding fixtures
- Leak Test units
- Checking fixtures
- Various production applications
- Troubleshooting guides
- Improvement initiatives

Requirements:

Mechatronics qualification (NQF5)
5 years' PLC maintenance experience within an automotive environment
Qualified electrician will be an added advantage
Extensive hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment including the use of a laptop PC to troubleshoot
Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
PLC Siemens TIA V14 or higher
Traceability systems experience
Engraving applications experience
Camera systems experience
Leak test applications experience
