Our client is a well-established provider of transport refrigeration solutions, supporting customers across the logistics, fleet, and cold chain sectors. They specialise in the service, maintenance, repair, and installation of refrigeration systems on commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring reliable temperature-controlled transport throughout South Africa.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, servicing, repairing, and maintaining transport refrigeration units on trucks and trailers. Duties include conducting preventative maintenance, attending breakdowns, performing electrical and refrigeration fault finding, replacing components, completing service reports, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently while meeting customer and safety standards.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Tested Refrigeration Technician, Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, or similar technical trade.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working on refrigeration systems.
- Experience on transport refrigeration, trailer refrigeration, reefer units, truck refrigeration, or cold chain equipment.
- Strong electrical and refrigeration fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to work in a field-service environment.
