Maintenance Foreman

Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is looking to hire a Maintenance Foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all millwrights
• Ensure all mechanical/electrical plant and equipment is up to standards
• Provide technical expertise to the maintenance team
• Follow established systems, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to Health and safety regulation.
• Housekeeping.
• Report problems to Management.
• Oversee and partake in mechanical/electrical problems in the plant
• Ensure all daily and weekly checklist are up to date for smooth operation
• Attend to standby duties during the week and every third weekend
• Conduct and record maintenance training
• Ensure the safety of plant and equipment and staff before production commence
• Ensure correct procedure are being followed when a breakdown is reported

Requirements:

• Matric
• Must have the necessary mechanical/electrical knowledge with at least 2 years
• applicable experience
• Must have Worked in a similar environment previously.
• Must not be colour-blind
• Trade certificate
• Must be able to read, speak and write English
• Experience in FPC’s production plant and equipment will be an advantage
• Work over weekend and after hours
• Must be hands on
• Must be able to read and understand mechanical/electrical drawings
• Computer literate
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be able to problem solve
