Loss Prevention Officer

SUMMARY:
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) who will be responsible for monitoring, guarding, and patrolling the premises. This role includes ensuring compliance with all security and stock control systems and procedures for our branches in Ottery, Port Elizabeth, Brackenfell, Montague Gardens and Silverton (Pretoria).

POSITION INFO:

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) who will be responsible for monitoring, guarding, and patrolling the premises. This role includes ensuring compliance with all security and stock control systems and procedures for our branches in Montague Gardens and Silverton (Pretoria). Additionally, you will be expected to utilize your multitasking abilities across a wide range of loss control-related responsibilities aimed at preventing theft and other security-related violations.

Part of your duties will also entail:

• Access control, stock loss, and theft prevention at Davidson’s Discount Boards Strand.
• Check stock, vehicles, and invoices in line with security systems and procedures
• Ensure invoices are filed correctly and invoice irregularities are reported to the Loss Prevention Supervisor
• Assist with returns, damages, and customer queries regarding invoice discrepancies
• Ensure staff comply with security systems and procedures and report any irregularities
• Interacting with clients and members of the public in an assertive but respectful manner while carrying out required duties.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Grade 12 required
• PSIRA Grade C Registered desirable (PSIRA Grade D Registered at the minimum is required)
• 2 - 3 years of manned guarding and retail security experience required
• Previous experience in the client-facing roles required
• Previous experience working in the board, warehousing, or transport industries is desirable
