Lodge Manager, Luxury Lodge

SUMMARY:
An exclusive lodge in Northern KZN is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager to oversee the daily operations and deliver a world-class guest experience. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent leadership, guest relations, and strong operational knowledge of luxury lodge management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all lodge operations, including front of house, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.
• Deliver a seamless and personalized guest experience, ensuring the highest service standards.
• Lead, motivate, and develop staff to maintain a culture of excellence.
• Oversee stock control, financial reporting, and cost management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and conservation practices.
• Drive community engagement and uphold sustainability initiatives.
• Maintain the lodge’s presentation, atmosphere, and operational efficiency.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements

• Previous management experience in a 4- or 5-star lodge environment (essential).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and guest relations abilities.
• Solid financial and administrative management skills.
• Knowledge of hospitality systems and operational controls.
• Valid driver’s license; FGASA or guiding experience is advantageous.
• Couples with complementary skills (FOH/F&B + Maintenance/Guiding) may also be considered.
