SUMMARY:
A Line Manager is required to oversee production line performance within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on managing staff, meeting production targets, and ensuring efficient workflow on the factory floor.

Our client operates within the clothing manufacturing sector, producing high-volume garments for a competitive market. The business is focused on maintaining production efficiency, consistent quality, and meeting strict delivery timelines. They provide a structured production environment with established processes and performance standards.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise a full production line
Ensure daily production targets are achieved
Monitor quality standards and address defects
Allocate work to machinists based on skill level
Oversee line balancing and workflow efficiency
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks
Monitor attendance and productivity of staff
Ensure adherence to production schedules
Liaise with Cutting, Sewing, and Finishing teams
Provide feedback to senior management on performance
Train and guide staff to improve output and quality
Maintain discipline and ensure factory procedures are followed

Requirements

2+ years’ experience in a clothing manufacturing environment
Proven experience managing a production line
Strong understanding of garment construction and sewing operations
Knowledge of production processes and workflow management
Basic understanding of line balancing and efficiency tracking

Remuneration
R8 000 - R11 500
