SUMMARY:
A well-established and reputable law firm based in the Johannesburg CBD is seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Directors and Legal Professionals
R25 000 - R30 000 CTC based on experience

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

Matric
Immediately available
Minimum 5 - 8 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary
Strong experience drafting and typing pleadings, agreements and legal documents
Dictaphone typing experience
Proficient in MS Office
Experience capturing and finalising fees on AJS
Strong understanding of legal billing processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
Deadline-driven and able to work under pressure
Professional and client-focused

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting and typing pleadings, affidavits, particulars of claim and court notices
Preparing agreements, reports, presentations and correspondence
Managing diaries, deadlines and general correspondence
Screening calls and liaising with clients telephonically
Opening files accurately on AJS and capturing time entries
Finalising fees, generating invoices and assisting with collections
Assisting with client payment queries and disbursement allocations
Preparing and compiling tender documents and submission packs
Coordinating business travel bookings and travel claims
Registration and archiving of files
Providing full administrative support to Directors and professionals
