SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Junior Legal Secretary for a permanent role based in Parktown North, Gauteng

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with 3+ years legal secretarial experience
Valid drivers and good computer literacy
Good communication skills

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Assisting with billing and general administration
Maintaining and updating office files (printing and filing documents)
Managing attorneys’ diaries, court dates, and consultations
Following up with Sheriff and correspondent attorneys
Attending to debt collection matters on behalf of various commercial client including Municipalities (Opening and managing debt collection files)
Issuing letters of demand and section 129 notices
Drafting and issuing debt collection summonses, default judgments and warrants/writs of execution
Following up on payments of legal fees from clients

Salary: Market related
