LEGAL OFFICER 📍 Lonehill, Johannesburg 📌 2-Year Renewable Contract

POSITION INFO:

An established organisation is seeking a Legal Officer to provide expert legal guidance and support across the business. This role is responsible for managing legal matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving initiatives to safeguard the company’s interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and legal documentation
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
• Manage litigation, disputes, and internal/external investigations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on legal and risk-related matters
• Stay up to date with legal developments impacting the industry, particularly within SADC and internationally

Minimum Requirements

• LLB Degree
• Admitted Attorney or Advocate (or currently enrolled)
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in corporate law
• Strong understanding of SADC legal frameworks and international law
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills

Additional Information

• Location: No. 2 Concourse Crescent, Lonehill, Johannesburg
• Salary: R30,000 – R37,000 CTC per month (dependent on experience)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
• Contract Type: 2-year contract (renewable)
• Start Date: April / May 2026
