Junior Sales Representative

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a well-established South African manufacturer delivering top-tier coatings, specialized finishes, and surface preparation products to commercial and retail markets.

We are looking for a proactive, motivated External Sales Representative (Junior) to champion sales operations across the Western Cape. Based in the field and working closely with the Sales Manager, you will service established client accounts and aggressively pursue new client leads across paint shops, hardware stockists, panel shops, and trade applicators.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular on-site visits to existing retail, panel shop, and commercial client bases across the Western Cape.
• Execute strategic cold-calling and field prospecting to secure new business accounts and expand territory market share.
• Establish and manage a solid client pipeline, maintaining accurate activity records via CRM software (Skynamo).
• Plan, organize, and execute optimized daily call schedules and field routes.
• Identify expansion opportunities within decorative, architectural, industrial, and specialized coating product lines.
• Maintain regular reporting and line management communication regarding territory performance and client feedback.

• Matric
• Valid South African driver’s license and a fully reliable, roadworthy personal vehicle (non-negotiable)
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close new business ("hunter" sales approach).
• Prior sales exposure within coatings, paint manufacturing, hardware, or construction supplies is highly advantageous.
• Computer literate with familiarity in CRM systems (e.g., Skynamo).
• Multilingual skills are preferred.

• Market-related gross package of R18,000 per month (comprising basic salary and car allowance)
• Company fuel card provided for business-related travel.
• Work-enabling equipment provided, including a laptop/tablet, data, and airtime allowance.
• Performance-driven monthly commission scheme (applicable following a 3-month probation period)
