POSITION INFO:
Our client is a premier South African manufacturer and distributor specializing in high-performance surface coatings, refinishing products, and specialized industrial solutions.

We are seeking an energetic External Sales Representative (Junior) to manage existing accounts and aggressively drive new business across the KwaZulu-Natal region. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will act as the face of the brand, calling on panel shops, resellers, and applicators while expanding market presence into architectural, decorative, industrial, and wood coatings.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, including panel shops, applicators, and resellers across KZN.
• Actively prospect, cold-call, and open new customer accounts to expand territory reach.
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, providing regular market updates and reporting to the Sales Manager.
• Efficiently plan and execute personal call cycles and travel schedules to maximize regional coverage.
• Represent the company professionally at client visits, industry gatherings, and trade events.
• Utilize CRM software (Skynamo) to log client interactions, record pipeline data, and track KPIs against team targets.

• Matric
• Valid South African driver’s license and your own reliable, roadworthy vehicle (non-negotiable)
• Proven "hunter" sales mindset with strong prospecting and cold-calling confidence.
• Experience or background in paint, industrial coatings, hardware, or building materials sales is advantageous.
• Proficiency in basic office computer packages and CRM systems (e.g., Skynamo).
• Multilingual capabilities are a distinct advantage.

• Market-related gross package of R18,000 per month (inclusive of basic salary and car allowance)
• Separate company fuel card provided for business travel.
• Provision of business tools including a laptop/tablet, data, and airtime allowance.
• Performance-based monthly commission structure (following an initial 3-month probation period)
