SUMMARY:
A well-established engineering solutions provider, based in Observatory, Cape Town, is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled individual with strong coordination and problem-solving abilities to contribute to impactful engineering projects across multiple sectors.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects from initiation to handover
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that project milestones are achieved
Monitor project performance, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality protocols
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and progress updates for stakeholders
Assist with technical design reviews, risk assessments, and site inspections

Minimum Requirements:

National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
3–5 years’ experience in a project engineering or a similar role, preferably in an engineering consultancy or manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of project lifecycles, cost control, and engineering documentation
Proficiency in MS Project or similar project management tools
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

ECSA registration (or working towards registration)
Experience working on multidisciplinary infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects
