Junior Cloud Engineer (Azure - 12 months contract)

SUMMARY:
Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a reputable client based in Cape Town for a Junior Cloud Engineer (Azure) to support a strategic 12-month project within their Cloud Centre of Excellence (CoE).

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

• Diploma, Degree in IT and/or related fields.
• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) – required
• 1 to 2 years of professional experience in IT or Cloud-related roles.
• Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
• Basic understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, firewalls, subnets), virtualization, and operating systems.
• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Exposure to GitHub Actions

• Assist in deploying and configuring Azure services (VMs, Storage, App Services, Networking, etc.).
• Use Terraform to define and manage infrastructure.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation tasks.
• Monitor cloud environments and respond to incidents.
• Contribute to cost optimization and security compliance efforts.
• Maintain and update technical documentation.
• Provide support to development and infrastructure teams.
