SUMMARY:
Durban. Established company providing security solutions seeks Junior Product Development Technician to support the Design and Development department by manufacturing, building, and testing prototypes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Machine, build and test prototypes according to drawing
Optimize componentry to improve effectiveness or efficiencies
Develop and implement new testing systems and procedures
Assist Engineering department in resolving product issues or production difficulties
Provide maintenance assistance when required
Maintain workshop and related equipment
Documenting test results

Requirements:

Matric or N3 Certificate
Power tool and / or prototype experience
Fitting and turning or tool and die making experience
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selections
Measure, examine and test components to specification
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and fault-finding skills
Computer literate - Microsoft Office
