POSITION INFO:

JUNIOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 

Our client seeking a motivated Junior Maintenance Technician to support their maintenance department in Germiston!

•  Location: Germiston, Gauteng
•  Salary: R20,000

Essential Qualifications: 

•  Millwright Trade Test with no or limited post-qualification experience
•  Electrical / Millwright / Mechatronics qualification

Essential Experience: 

•  Relevant experience in Hydraulic and Pneumatic function and control
•  Working knowledge of PLC and HMI systems
•  PLC coding will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

•   Receive tasks and complete as directed by Maintenance Supervisor
•  Undertake safe and efficient installation of new mechanical and electrical equipment
•  Prompt and efficient attendance to breakdowns and stoppages
•  Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment
•  Obtain correct process instructions for jobs
•  Ensure set-ups minimize production interruption
•  Maintain high standard of housekeeping and safe working practices
•  Perform shift, overtime, and standby duties as required
•  Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
