Location: Germiston

Salary: R20 000

MUST be willing to work overtime & shifts 

Our client is looking for a motivated, hands‑on Junior Maintenance Technician to join their fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for a recently qualified Millwright or someone with limited post‑trade experience who is eager to grow, learn, and build a strong technical career.

WHAT YOU NEED

- Electrical / Millwright / Mechatronics qualification

- Millwright Trade Test (no or limited experience welcome)

- Experience with hydraulics & pneumatics

- Working knowledge of PLC & HMI (coding = bonus!)

- Basic computer literacy

- Exposure to maintenance systems & diagnostic tools (advantageous)

- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency

SKILLS REQUIRED

- Basic fault‑finding & diagnostic understanding

- Problem‑solving mindset

- Ability to work under pressure

- Willingness to learn & follow instructions

- Self‑driven, safety‑conscious & reliable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Receive tasks from the Maintenance Supervisor & complete as instructed

- Follow the correct process instructions for each job

- Perform set‑ups & line changes with minimal downtime

- Maintain excellent housekeeping & safe working practices

- Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE standards & legislation

- Assist with installation of mechanical & electrical equipment

- Attend to breakdowns quickly & efficiently

- Conduct inspections & preventative maintenance

- Perform shift, overtime & standby duties as required

- Support additional tasks & projects assigned by management
